Private Mansion, Dusseldorf

1. November 2019

This highly unusual private mansion in the outskirts of Dusseldorf impresses with its polygonal volume. Towards the street it appears quite closed due to the textile facade. The side facing the garden reminds of the back of a huge yacht. Inside the building especially the bridge is rendering spectacular views connecting the parent’s area from the children’s section, the cinema and a large studio.

The lighting concept was quite demanding, since the overall white interior tends to amplify diffused and reflected light. To avoid this we had to use very precise direct lighting tools with extremely low glare factor. Many tailor-made lighting solutions had to be developed to match the unique architecture.
